PRIVACY POLICY – Photopsia Magic App


1. Introduction

Photopsia («we,» «our,» or «the app») is a magic performance application designed for professional and amateur magicians. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Face Tracking Data (TrueDepth API)
Photopsia  uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera and ARKit Face Tracking technology for the «AR Face Effect» feature. This feature allows detect blink eye to detect a image from collection
What face data is collected:
  • Face geometry measurements to detect eye blink
  • Face anchor points for 3D tracking
How we use this data:

  • To position and track visual effects on the user’s face in real-time
  • To create magical illusions during live performances
  • All processing happens locally on your device using Apple’s ARKit framework
Important: Face data is NOT:

  • ❌ Stored on the device
  • ❌ Transmitted to any servers
  • ❌ Shared with third parties
  • ❌ Used for facial recognition or identification
  • ❌ Used for any purpose other than real-time visual effect positioning
The face tracking feature only works while the app is actively running and the AR Face mode is enabled by the user through Settings. When you exit the app or disable the feature, all face data processing stops immediately.
2.2 Camera Access
The app requires camera access to:

  • Display live camera preview
  • Capture photos and videos for magic performances
  • Process visual effects in real-time
Camera images are only used for display and visual effects. They are not analyzed, stored permanently (except when you explicitly save a photo), or transmitted anywhere.
2.3 Photo Library Access
Used to:

  • Load custom images for magic effects
  • Save photos/videos when you explicitly choose to save them
We only access photos you specifically select. We do not scan or access your entire photo library.
2.4 Bluetooth
Used to synchronize magic effects between the main PKink app and the PKink App Clip for multi-device performances. Only performance settings (image selection, position, rotation) are transmitted—never personal data or face data.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Face Data: Not stored. Processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
App Settings: Stored locally on your device using UserDefaults (selected effects, image preferences, etc.). This data never leaves your device.
Photos/Videos: Only stored if you explicitly save them to your photo library. We do not automatically save or backup any media.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. The app:

  • Does not contain analytics or tracking services
  • Does not send data to external servers
  • Does not integrate with social media platforms (unless you manually share content using iOS share features)

5. Children’s Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Face tracking is only used for visual effects positioning and is not suitable for or targeted at children.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Disable face tracking by not using the AR Face feature
  • Revoke camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings → PKink
  • Delete the app and all associated data at any time

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates
